luggage (400x400)Are you still waiting to go on your summer vacation? If new luggage is still on your shopping list, you’re in luck. Prices are super affordable right now, making it an ideal time to upgrade your current luggage. Here are our top picks for two- and three-piece luggage sets, all for less than $50.

US Traveler Rio Two Piece Expandable Carry-On Luggage Set

Available at Amazon.com, this two-piece luggage set is affordable and attractive. With prices ranging from $39.99 to $44.99, there are several options to choose from. The sets come in green, mustard, purple and royal blue. While the royal blue is the cheapest, our favorite is the green for less than $2 more. The carry-on suitcase is expandable, and the carry on tote is nicely sized at 14×10 inches. Most reviews are 4 and 5 stars, making this both a good value and a good buy. Shipping is free.

Traveler’s Club Bowman Collection 3-Piece Luggage Set

Overstock.com isn’t short on the deals, either. This is available in red for $42.99 or black for $43.99. It includes the 20-inch carry-on, a tote bag and a bag for your toiletries. The carry-on is expandable, giving you additional packing room when you need it. It comes with a two-year warranty, and you can also purchase a two-year protection plan for $5. Shipping adds an additional $2.95, but if you have other items to order, it’s free for orders over $50.

Protégé 3-Piece Travel Luggage

The best deal available is the 3-piece travel set from Walmart.com. It is only $29 and comes in red, blue and black. Although the red and blue are out of stock online, you can select your local stores to see if they’re in stock there. This set includes a 24” expandable upright, a 20” duffle bag and a tote. I can say from personal experience that this luggage holds up well for occasional travel, but it may not be well-suited to frequent travel or air travel. For $29, though, it’s a good buy for the value.
