A great place to start is with adorning your legs.  If you haven’t invested in a variety of tights, you have officially snubbed the latest fashion craze.  Tights in all colors and patterns have become an on point trend, so banish nylons from your dresser drawer.  Instead, wear tights under dresses and long tunics. Plus, don’t be afraid of bold colors.

Another way to showcase your style: purchase a variety of ankle and knee high socks.  Choose colorful stripes, mod designs, or animal prints for a playful look.Follow this link to view Forever 21’s tight and sock selection.  These styles look absolutely darling, and they cost little to nothing!

Next, adorn your head.  Having a bad hair day?  No problem.  Knit caps in all styles will work to cover a less than stunning hairdo.  It doesn’t matter a woman’s age, these unstructured hats complement all ladies.

Another trend in hair accessories, which looks super on women of all ages, is the crocheted headband.  Wear one on the way to work or while skiing down the slopes. You will look absolutely 2014 chic.  Click here to see an example of a headband with a sweet flower accent.  If you like it, take advantage of the free directions on the video!  (Your only cost will be the crochet hook and the yarn.)

Finally, never leave home without some type of jewelry.  Earrings, bracelets, watches, necklaces, and rings never go out of vogue. Yes, styles change, but these accessories will always assist a woman with looking put together.

For instance, a statement necklace remains the accessory du jour.  Invest in at least one large necklace (with a bit of color) to accent plain sweaters or to jazz up a button up white shirt.

I absolutely adore a metal chain, either silver or gold, accented with dozens of large white “pearls.”   This necklace can work with jeans or your best dress.  Check out this version inspired by the show, Two Broke Girls.  It’s a steal at $23.99 online.

Bracelets also jazz up a woman’s appearance.  There are chunky, glittery, bangle, cuff, and bejeweled styles.  Basically, there are styles to suit all personalities.  View several cute – and cheap – styles from Icing here.

This post proves…it doesn’t have to cost a lot to be a fashion hit.  All you need to do is update your stash of accessories.  Snap up some up to the minute hosiery, invest in an unstructured hat or knit headband, and keep your jewelry current!  It’s a fact.  You will look your best with the addition of cute accessories.
