Nothing, in my opinion, is more comfortable than a good pair of flats. I’ll let you in on a little secret – I hate heels. I’m clumsy and find it nearly impossible to keep my balance on a heel that’s more than two inches tall. Whenever I look for dressy or casual shoes, I usually go for flats because they’re pretty, easy to slip on, comfortable and most of all, affordable. If you’re in the market for a new pair of flats, look at these gorgeous options, all for less than $25.
Women’s Xhilaration Olive Flat
You can find the Xhilaration Olive Flats at Target for only $24.99. They come in four different colors: Raspberry, Cognac, Black and Cobalt. The open-toe ballet flats are a great choice for spring, and the Raspberry color is also appropriate for the season. Right now, Target is running a promotion to buy one, get one 50% off on all shoes. It’s the perfect time to stock up on several different styles of flats.
Printed Ballet Flats
Old Navy’s printed ballet flats are gorgeous with a neutral paisley pattern and bow-tie applique on the toe. They’re currently priced at $17.97, and they’re only available now in sizes 8, 9 and 10. The colors, pattern and style make them ideal for both work and casual wear.
AEO Crocheted Flats
Crocheted flats really take me back. I sported a pair of these in high school (which was quite a while ago), and I’m happy to find that American Eagle Outfitters offer a similar style. These are classic ballet flats with a crocheted cotton upper. Note that crocheted shoes stretch a little, so you may want to order half a size down in these shoes. The flats come in Rose or Natural for $24.95 with free shipping.
Lower East Side Women’s Chelsea Flat
Simple, stylish and available in many different colors, these flats are my favorites on the list. Why? I’ll let you in on another secret: I have a wide foot. It’s difficult to find flats that fit me perfectly because many of them are far too narrow. If you have the same problem, you’ll love the variety offered by Payless in the Women’s Chelsea Flat style by Lower East Side. The colors are: Black Patent, Gold Glitter, Nude Patent, Black Glitter, Cognac, Silver Glitter and Merlot. There’s not a color I don’t like! The shoes are $19.99, and the store is currently (and almost always) running the BOGO 50% off sale. You can get two pairs for $30 plus taxes, and they come in regular width and wide width.
