gold shoes (400x400)If you don’t have the right shoes to top off your holiday outfit, it just doesn’t feel as festive. Here are four types of shoes that you should consider adding to your wardrobe if you’ve got a lot of holiday parties to head to this season. They’ll jazz up your outfits any time of year, but during the holidays, these shoes will make the season bright.

Strappy Metallic Sandals

If you’re fortunate enough to live somewhere that the weather around the holidays is mild, then strappy metallic sandals are a definite requirement. Gold and silver are the best choices, but any metallic can be the perfect finishing touch. If you want your sandals to look even more festive, then invest in some decorative clip-ons in holly designs or some jingle bells. Then you can change the look each time you wear the sandals and in the summer, you’ve got dressy sandals for any outfit.

Rhinestone-encrusted Pumps

When you really want to make an impression, there’s nothing like rhinestones to do it. Rhinestone pumps make your little black dress look a million times more fancy than it already is. They’re wasted with pants, though, because you cover up most of the sparkle. Save these for skirts and dresses so you can really show them off.

Knee-high Boots

Knee-high boots are so versatile. You can wear them with your skinny jeans or your leggings, but you can also pull them on with skirts or dresses. They’re especially handy if you’re trying to bridge the season gap in your wardrobe. Invest in a solid pair of leather knee-high boots and they’ll wear like iron. If you’re not sure whether to go with neutrals or another color, take stock of your holiday outfits. If red or another color would go with the majority of what you plan to wear, then it’s a good bet. Otherwise, stick with neutrals.

Embroidered Ballet Flats

If you’re looking for true holiday shoes, you can’t go wrong with embroidered ballet flats. Whether you go simple, with metallic ornament designs, or you go all out with Santa and all his reindeer, you can find a holiday design that you love. These are as comfortable as slippers, but they look great and really festive, especially if the rest of your holiday outfit is plain.

No matter what your holiday outfit choice, there’s a pair of shoes that will make it perfect.
