It’s hard to shop in San Francisco, mostly because of the high taxes, but it’s still fun because there are so many stores selling unique items or that give you the chance to support good causes. Here are a few stores to include in your next San Francisco trip.

1. Doe
Doe is a local indie boutique, art gallery and design house. This family-operated boutique specializes in women’s clothes and accessories, especially those produced by designers from the West Coast (in particular the Bay Area). But they also carry a lot of other items, including baby stuff, houseware, bath products and papergoods. As an art gallery, they also feature art shows as well as collaborations with other artists.
