fresh face (400x400)So your face doesn’t need fixing, but on those days when you’re running late and think you don’t have time for makeup a simple five minutes will make it look like you spent an hour on your face, or that you just woke up flawless.  The first thing to do is wash your face.  Even if you aren’t putting on any makeup wash your face.  If you need to and/or have time, apply any creams you use as well.  I like to use a highlighting primer to give my face a nice glow.  It will also make any discoloration or blemishes less noticeable.  It’s fine if you need to apply a bit of concealer, but don’t take the time to apply foundation.  Now go through and fill in your brows.  If you don’t have a brow pencil or brow shadow an eye shadow a shade or two darker than your natural hair color will work, along with a hard eyeliner pencil in that color.  Don’t use a soft eyeliner or a kohl eyeliner because it will just smudge off.  Start lightly at first and slowly add more until any bare spots are filled in and your brows are one continuous shade without any patches.  Next, apply a coat of mascara, but focus it on the roots of your lashes.  This will give the appearance that you applied eyeliner.  Lastly, focus on your lips.  Whether you use a gloss, tinted moisturizer, or lipstick, apply something that will make your lips stand out and will cause them to be the focus of your face.
