Four Items for the Lingerie Drawer

When it comes to fashion and style, it’s really what’s on the inside that counts more than what’s on the outside. For instance, you need a quality bra to wear underneath a t-shirt. You may also need a pair of cotton thongs or seamless underwear for skinny jeans. No matter what items your current wardrobe includes, there are some necessary undergarments you should include in your lingerie wardrobe.

1- Strapless Bra

If you wear a lot of halter tops, tank tops, camisoles, and strapless tops/dresses, you need to invest in a basic strapless bra. Look for a simple bra with minimal padding and an underwire. If you can buy a convertible/strapless style bra, that’s even better! A convertible style offers more versatility and better support.

2- Classic T-shirt Bra

Everyone needs at least three or four classic t-shirt bras to wear. These are the kind of bras that work best with all t-shirts, sweaters, blouses, and most dresses. When shopping for the perfect bra, you need to look for a couple of things, like molded cups with an underwire and solid straps. Another thing to look for is color. Choose bras in nude, a color that will never show underneath tops or dresses.

3- Cotton Seamless Panties or Thongs

Comfort is always key, so make sure you stock up on five or six pairs of basic cotton seamless panties or thongs.  Which one you choose is really a matter of personal preference, but feel free to stock up on a variety of fun colors, prints, and styles.

4- Tights

Add color, texture, and warmth this winter with a couple of pairs of fun tights. Feel free to stock up on many different pairs in bold colors like red, dark blue, or brown, as well as textured and printed styles. You can wear them underneath everything from your favorite dresses, to denim miniskirts, to trendy A-line styles, and more.
