evening wearThis year’s #1 party theme is “The Great Gatsby,” so if you’re lucky enough to be invited to a Gatsby-era themed party or wedding, you’ll want to look the part, whether you’ll be dolled up as a flapper, gangster, or silent screen star. Despite Prohibition, the 1920s were filled with lavish, decadent parties and beautifully dressed guests. Maybe you’ll want to dress like Daisy Buchanan and wear a feather boa, long string of pearls, lace dress, long scarf, Chanel perfume, and cloche hat.

The 1920s evening wear look is elegant and classic, with a straight and angular boyish silhouette, marked by a flat bosom and no hips. Dressing for a Gatsby-themed party can be a lot fun, so set your inner flapper free and try some of these 1920s-inspired evening wear ideas:
