How To Save On Beauty Products

Taking care of yourself is something that should never be compromised, but neither should your budget. It’s so easy to go to the mall and spend over $100 on beauty products that you’ll later regret buying and won’t be able to return for a refund. Follow these tips and you’ll never pay full price for everything including cosmetics, skincare, and hair care.

Shop The Drugstore

Department store products may look more glamorous, but that’s all in the packaging. What really matters is the ingredients and oftentimes you’ll find the exact same ingredients in both drugstore and specialty products.  Cover Girl, L’Oreal, St. Ives, Pantene, and Garnier are all quality brands that you’ll find at any local drugststore. Save even more by checking the advertising inserts and coupons in your Sunday newspaper.  Sometimes you can even double up two coupons to save extra, but be sure to check the store’s coupon policy upon redemption.

Try Samples Before You Buy

If you’re not certain that you’re going to love the latest anti-aging moisturizer, then maybe you should look for a sample to try first? Most cosmetic and skin care companies love to offer samples as they see it as a way to promote their products. Check out the official cosmetic companies to find out whats new, whats free, and if they offer any coupons that you can print out.

Learn To Make Your Own Beauty Products

Many of your favorite skin and hair care products can be made at home with natural and organic ingredients.  Here are a few beauty recipe books to check out: Green Beauty Recipes by Julie Gabriel, Eco Beauty by Lauren Cox and Janice Cox, and The Handmade Soap Book by Melinda Cross. Each book gives you fresh recipes and ideas for making your own beauty products right inside your kitchen.
