spring dress (400x400)As the weather really starts to warm up many of us are searching for any way to stay cool.  I find the easiest way to do so is with dresses.  As long as the material is right you’ll feel cool and fresh in your stylish dress.

Maxi Dresses: Maxi dresses are great when you’re trying to stay cool in the hot summer heat.  People tend to shy away from them as the weather gets hot, but as long as your dress is made of a light and comfy material that isn’t heavy, you’ll be cool as a cucumber and looking great.  The long skirt keeps you cool and blocks you from the sun.  If you can find one with a leg slit you’ll be even cooler since your legs will have a nice breeze on them.

Cut Out Dresses: Any dress of a light flowy material will keep you cool in the summer, but one that sinches at the waist and has cut out will work to the maximum.  The cut outs will allow you to still soak up the rays, without over heating.

Shift Dresses: A light and flowy shift dress will also do the trick.  Since they’re made out of light and comfy materials so you won’t overheat.  They also won’t cling to you allowing you to stay cool.

Almost any dress you can find in a light material that doesn’t cling to you will work.  Those above are my favorites, but there are so many more that work just as well. The best thing about summer dresses though are the patterns.  There are so many fun patterns this season, all of which look great on these dresses.  From bright animal prints to crazy tribal patterns dresses are the best way to stay cool this summer while still looking fly.

Another great thing about these dresses is how they go so easily from day time casual to a great dress for a night on the town.. Add some heels and jewelry and you have a perfect nighttime outfit.
