dressLeggings and skinny jeans are in right now. Unfortunately, it’s one of those trends that are tricky to wear for a lot of women. Fortunately, you don’t have to be super skinny to wear this type of clothing. The key here is to find a pair that not only fits well but also looks great. The right pair of leggings will certainly elevate your style, especially when paired with a long billowy blouse or tunic. Read on to find out how to wear leggings with style.

1- Stick with Basic Black

If you’re not comfortable wearing bright colors and/or you’re new the the leggings style challenge, your best bet is to start with a pair of solid black leggings. A good pair that fits well will offer much in terms of style mileage. Pair them with tops and tees in bold colors like red, white, blue, pink, brown, or green. You could also pair them with pretty printed tops and tunics. When fall/winter rolls around, try pairing basic black leggings with layered tees and a cute jacket. This is one of the most versatile legging styles you’ll own.

2- Dress Them Up

If you have a nice pair of leggings that were made from a rich fabric like leather or satin, save these for dressier days and nights. Amp up your style quotient by pairing them up with dressier tops, mini dresses, tunics, or anything that strikes your fancy. Add a great pair of platform sandals or booties to elevate your entire look, and you will be ready for anything! When fall comes around, try wearing a sparkly sweater and add a cute pair of gold pumps.

3- Dare to Try Color

If you love leggings and vibrant colors, why not opt for a chic pair of leggings in a fun hue like red, deep blue, or purple? These styles look great with classic and trend pieces in more neutral shades like gray, soft brown, and ivory. If you really want to elevate the look, you should opt for dressing it up with leather jackets and cool accessories like chandelier earrings or colorful bangles.
