Fashion is fun and intimidating at the same time. Its sometimes hard to keep up with what is in and what is out but it’s even harder to figure out what looks good on you.  Of course, the only way to test out a new look is the try it on, but sometimes a little fashion sense will tell you whether something will work or not. Here are some tips to keep in mind the next time you shop at the mall!

Leopard And Other Animal Print

One wrong style move and it’s easy to label animal prints as gaudy. Keep the look tasteful and chic by wearing animal prints in their proper color scheme (like black and white stripes for zebra print). Remember to choose just one printed piece and pair it with something more classic like a cheetah print tank and slim pencil skirt in solid black.

Be Careful With Leggings

Leggings are another tricky trend because they are neither pants or legwear which makes it hard to find garments that work with them. Generally, leggings are best worn with short dresses or long tunic-style blouses. And never pair your leggings with anything that is too tight or too trendy because it will make you look as if your trying to hard to be young.

Go Easy With Embellished Garments

Embroidery, sequins, and other fine details can really make a dress or top look simply stunning. Keep that look by pairing the outfit with simpler pieces like solid colors or dark denim. Another smart style tip: swap big and bold jewels for more delicate pieces of gold or silver. Think a single strand necklace or tiny stud earrings.

Keep The Trendy Looks Age Appropriate

Most trends are not one-size-fits all and some trends are better for those under 30. These trends are include short-shorts, leggings, and bubble skirts. Trends that work for all ages include fun prints like florals or plaids, classic tee shirts, maxi dresses, bohemian blouses, and straight leg jeans.
