It was on a recent shopping trip to the picturesque resort town of Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, that I happened upon an accessories store that I just have to let reader’s know about. With three locations – two near Chicago and the one I visited in southern Wisconsin – this unique accessories store offers super chic items for women, babies, and even the home.
Seems like a weird combination, but it works, and it’s fun to browse this fabulous accessories (and more) store. The name? NOTICE – Accessories for Living.
With the competition fierce in the world of accessories, NOTICE has found a perfect philosophy for women who love to shop. As outlined on their website, they are a small family owned boutique. The owners want women to have lots of choices in what they buy at Notice. With items ranging from apparel to accessories, to baby and children’s gifts, as well as personal and home fragrance, they seem to have it all!
My first purchase from NOTICE was a gold necklace graced with a locket with my initial on it, and I’ve received lots of compliments already. An acquaintance even asked me where she could buy one for herself! My next purchase is going to be their Scooter bag, as it will work perfectly for my job as a professor at a local college. Kind of like a backpack, but much more sleek, it has enough room for all my work materials. It also features: an elastic leash key fob, universal headphone access, detachable wallet organizer, and a leather sunglasses loop. Best of all, it’s made of P.E.T. fabrics.
Although everything they offer in stores isn’t available online, you’ll get a feel for what this unique accessories store is all about if you take a look at their company webpages. Classy, yet hip, I’m sure every woman will find something she would love to own…and for a decent price either in person or online. Like their tagline states, “Life is Short, Get Noticed.” Check out their website for a look at their handbags, belts, jewelry, and more.
Even if you don’t live in the Midwest, you can take advantage of a cool event that NOTICE has planned for Sept. 6, 2012. The company will be hosting a Fashion’s Night Out (FNO) from 6:00 – 9:00 PM Central time. They will be featuring the season’s must-haves, in all price ranges, with a percentage of the proceeds donated to local charities near Chicago.
They will feature “new arrivals from Alfred Sung, Orla Kiely bags and Skunk Funk…the latest collections with global flare. Local charities such as the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation of Illinois, and Child Care Center of Evanston are among the beneficiaries of the first annual FNO at NOTICE.” Make sure to go online to take advantage of FNO if you can’t make it in person.
