girl ponytail (400x400)We all have those mornings when we oversleep and just don’t have time to wash our hair. Of course we need a quick run through the shower to rinse off the overnight sweats we all get, but washing and conditioning our hair takes way to long and going to school with wet hair is an absolute no. Luckily, I have a few quick tricks to cover the mess we call second day hair.

The first is the easiest, just wear a hat! I love beanies, in fact, I am wearing one right now, and they look good with most outfits and easily cover your hair. If you have school and can’t wear hats in school, then this won’t work. A simple ponytail always looks good, as do messy buns, but they get a little old. A simple French braid down the back is always a winner, but my favorite is the top of the head ballerina bun. In the shower, I let my hair get damp and if I have time I shampoo it, but I don’t condition it. Towel dry it quickly, flip your head over, and then twist all of your hair into a bun on the top of your head. The wetness with allow your hair to stay together better, especially if you have layers, and not conditioning your hair will add a few tangles which will, again, help it stay in better and add a bit of messy texture.
