Smart shoppers use time and money wisely. They save money over time, knowing that when the time comes to use that money, they will use it wisely. Saving over time and timing purchases are skills that every shopper can use. Everything, and I do mean everything, goes on sale eventually! You just have to know when to buy so the purchase is made when the price is low. Purchasing items off-season like air conditioners (at the end of the summer), coats (at the end of winter), and off-season travel (after the holidays) can save a bundle!

Off-season is not the only time that savvy shoppers can take advantage of major savings. There is also something to be said for the last minute deals that are announced on the day of the sale, or the night before a big shopping holiday.

The 4:00 a.m. to 9:00 pre-dawn retail offers can also save a pretty penny.

Regardless of when the big sale takes place, the key to getting the best deals is simple. Be prepared for the sale, because you know it’s coming!

Make your list, and check it twice while saving money to cover the purchase in full.

Buy at a low price and pay the full price. This will prevent the post-sale financial hangover of impulse buying budget busters!  Think before you spend – a sale is not an excuse to overspend – will this unplanned purchase hurt you down the line?  Time and money are on your side. When sale arrives – and you know it’s coming – ready, set, and go shopping!
