Earrings are amazing. I think an ear full of piercings can look really beautiful when done correctly, but the first step of that is taking care of your ear. When they tell you to clean your new piercing three times a day, they mean it. Also, twist it as often as possible. The better care you take of it means less chance of infection, and less chance of your body rejecting it. My friend and I just got our second holes done together, and believe me when I say take care of your ears. My friend got lazy with it just a couple days later, and one of her lobes swelled up a bit and got itchy and irritated. She said it was painful, especially when she tried twisting her piercing. I, however, cleaned them religiously, at least for the first week. It has been a few weeks and I have started to slack off. They aren’t as bad as her ears, but they can be tender as times and a bit itchy. Plus, if your ears get infected the healing process takes longer which means you have to keep the original earrings in for longer than would have been necessary.
