Hats. Packing a hat will do you wonders. I recently went to Arizona on spring break with my family, and just as we left the house I grabbed a baseball cap that my stepdad had gotten which didn’t fit him. I wasn’t sure if I would really wear it, but I didn’t think bringing it could hurt. I don’t think I have ever been so glad that I packed something. I typically don’t wear hats, but I wore it almost every day. It also help loads with burning. Of course you should always apply sunblock, but the added protection of a hat is incredible. Burning on your face is probably the most inconvenient and painful place to burn, so the double protection of the hat and sunblock was great. Plus if your hair is all windblown and ratty, or yucky from the pool, a hat helps to hide the mess well. It doesn’t have to be a baseball cap; a fedora, a sun hat, or any hat you like will do.
