Sam’s Suggestions on School Mornings

teen girl (400x400)School mornings can be a slow and painful one.  It may seem as though you will never be ready in time for school, but it’s actually rather easy. The trick is to make a routine. Pick the minimal amount of things you need to get done to be ready for school and out the door on a schedule.

Here’s an example: I need to leave for school by 7:15. I wake up at 5:50 each morning and scroll on my phone till 6. Then, I get up and go to the bathroom, wash my face and put in my contacts.  Then I go downstairs and eat breakfast. If I am packing a lunch, I make it now. I try to be back upstairs by 6:30, 6:45 latest. I pick out my outfit for the day and get ready. For makeup I make another routine. Fast and easy, nothing extravagant for school. Chapstick, concealer, and eyebrows. On occasion a bit of mascara if I have spare time.  Usually I am out the door by 7:15, if not having time to spare. If you do have time to spare, you know you can sleep in about five or ten minutes.
