prom dress (400x400)Prom is right around the corner, and you don’t want to get caught buying your dress the day before if the big day sneaks up on you.  I suggest to buy your dress at least two months in advance, if not three.  This way, you don’t have to worry about accidentally buying the same dress as someone else, and you don’t have to worry about your dress coming in on time.  Get your dress altered ASAP, and don’t forget to wear the right shoes and bra when you do.  The earlier you do this, the more time you have for your date to use the extra fabric to match his vest, tie, bow-tie, or whatever else he may wear to match your dress.  If you are getting your hair done, create the appointment at least a month in advance because those spots fill up quickly.  If possible, have your hairdresser do a dry run ahead of time if you have a complicated look so you don’t have any mishaps the day of.  Do the same with your makeup, even if you are doing your own.  Try the look a few times in the weeks leading up to the big night.  Get eyebrows or any other waxes done a day or two before so there isn’t any residual redness.  Lastly, if you are wearing new heels break them in before prom comes.  You don’t want to be falling all over the place on the dance floor because you can’t walk in your shoes.
