Save Money — Read Your Licensing Agreement

Nobody reads their software licensing agreements, do they? I mean, even if we did, we wouldn’t understand the legalese. But we understand more or less how a software purchase works. So why bother?

Well, because it’s a good idea to read everything you sign/agree to — and because at least one company has hidden, somewhere in the agreement for a trial version of their product, a promotion code that’ll give you 20% off the price of a full copy. All they ask is that you don’t spread the word — so if I told you which company it was, they might pull the plug, but if you start reading before you click,  you may find yourself saving money.
