In a little less than two months, the weather will warm up and fashionistas everywhere will ditch pants for skirts. This upcoming season has a lot of exciting trends, including trumpet skirts, hi-low skirts, and mini skirts. Let’s take a closer look at these haute trends, and how to make them work for you.

Trumpet Skirts have the signature fit and flare style that manages to look sweet and sassy at the same time. If the skirt is a bit on the short side, you’ll want to balance out the look to keep it from looking too revealing. You should opt for a sleeveless blouse in either white or a similar color (yellow skirts call for a cream or similar shade of blouse). Add a pair of pretty brown or black flat shoes for a simple and modern look. You could also try pairing a solid black camisole with a colorful printed trumpet skirt and a pair of metallic strappy sandals. Add a pair of large chandelier earrings and a sparkly scarf for effect. This makes for an elegant evening look.

The hi-low skirt (short in the front, long in the back) is a bit harder to wear. This super casual style looks best with tank tops, strappy camisoles, sleeveless blouses, or strapless tops. Funkify your look with a chunky choker or large bangle. Throw on a light faux leather jacket and a pair of chunky boots for flare.

Mini skirts are one trend that will never go out of style. Keep the look simple by pairing a solid black skirt with a colorful printed tee shirt, quarter sleeve blazer, and classic patent pumps. This look is sexy in an understated way, as it shows a little leg, but it’s still covered up enough to remain tastefully trendy.
