Shopping for office-friendly attire is not as easy as say shopping for a new party dress or pair of jeans. For one thing, you have to think about the environment of the office. Is it ultra-conservative? Slightly low-cut tops or trendy pieces are a no-go. Is your office environment a little more creative? You might be able to wear a trendy or tasteful halter top. Looking for more ideas? Here are a few worth considering.

1- Tie-Neck Blouse

The ties that bind style! Opt for a pretty blouse with a small tie embellishment, and you’ll look pretty powerful.  Wear this top with mid-to-low rise pants or a high waisted pencil skirt. Add a pair of spectator pumps and a few pieces of eye catching jewels to complete this chic look.

2- Peplum Top

Here’s a trend that’s perfect for the office: the peplum top. Look for a style in a solid color or interesting details like embroidery, buttons, lace, or short puffed sleeves. This kind of top works best with suit skirts or slim fit pants. If your office allows it, skinny black jeans also work. Complete the look with a pair of classic round toe leather pumps or flat shoes.

3- Sequin Blouse

A shiny sequin blouse is a bit harder to rock in the office, but it can be done. Wear this kind of top with flared or fitted black dress pants or a simple dress skirt. If you’re a little apprehensive about the shine factor, feel free to don a fitted blazer or open cardigan sweater over it. Add a fun pair of pumps, sandals, or Mary-Jane style platforms to complete the look.

4- Boatneck Tee

If you can get away with more casual attire, a boatneck tee could be just the ticket to style! Pair it with a crispy A-line skirt or pencil skirt. Add a pair of wedge style pumps or kitten heels to kick up the look just a notch!
