Teen’s Fashion: Active Wear

girl exercise wear (400x400)Active wear is fabulous because it is so gosh darn comfy.  From sports bras, to spandex, to running tights, there are so many brands to choose from, all of which vary in price and quality.  I am most certainly a Nike girl, but it can be on the more expensive side.  For shoes and spandex I will shell out the cash because I think those two are worth it.  As for sports bras, running tights, etc., I get most of mine at TJ Maxx because they’re fairly low priced there and there are all different types to choose from.

The focus today is on Nike spandex.  They come in different lengths and fits, from long, to mid thigh, to short, and even minis.  I prefer Nike Spandex over other brands because not only do they have different lengths, they have different styles like dry fit, heat gear, and even water resistant types.  Nike Pros, my favorite type of spandex, do tend to be on the expensive side, but they are worth it and go on sale all the time.  I had originally said that I didn’t need them because they’re so expensive, but then I needed them for a sport I play and fell in love with them.  I usually buy mine from Eastbay online or from Sports Authority in store.  Sports Authority I have much better luck in store compared to online.

Nike Pros come in all different colors and styles, as well.  I have black, gray, and pink, but they come in every color you can imagine, as well as many fabulous patterns.  Not only are they great for sports they are very versatile.  I often wear them under skirts or dresses to keep tight skirts from riding up and to keep from flashing people if a nice breeze comes.  They are comfortable enough that you don’t even know you are wearing them.

Nike Pros are also great for contact sports like cheer because they wick away sweat so they will never be slippery.  As a flyer this is very reassuring.  Not only are they good for that, but they are good for running as well.  They will keep you air resistant and the fabric will not chafe against itself to give you the most efficient stride you can get.

If they are too expensive for you and you are a hard core athlete ask for them for your birthday or Christmas.  Also, be on the constant lookout for sales and search online for coupons.
